When Water Heater Installation is the Right Fix
We size the unit to your household, not the box that was there
The old unit's capacity isn't automatically the right answer — homes add bathrooms, families grow, and a lot of tanks were undersized to begin with. We look at how many fixtures run at once, your peak-hour demand, and whether you're better served by a larger tank, a tankless, or a heat-pump hybrid. Then we quote a flat price in plain English: tank vs. tankless, gas vs. electric, and what each one actually costs to run.
Done to code, permitted, and inspected
A water heater swap touches gas or electrical, venting, and the water supply — the exact places a cut corner shows up later as a carbon-monoxide risk or a slow leak. We pull the permit where the local authority requires it, bring the gas and venting up to current code, add expansion tanks and drip pans where they belong, and get the work inspected. The old unit leaves with us.
You leave knowing how to run it
Every install comes with a walkthrough: how to shut off the water and gas, where the drain valve is and how to flush it, and where to set the temperature so it's both safe and efficient. Every install carries a workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer's tank warranty, and financing is available so a failed water heater doesn't have to be a five-figure emergency.
How Water Heater Installation Works
Size and quote
We assess your hot-water demand and give a flat price across tank, tankless, and hybrid options before any work starts.
Pull permits
Where the local authority requires it, we handle the permit so the install is legal and inspectable.
Install to code
New unit set, gas/electric and venting brought to code, expansion tank and pan added where needed, old unit hauled off.
Test and walk you through it
We verify no leaks, confirm recovery, set the temperature, and show you how to maintain it.
Water Heater Installation — Frequently Asked
Should I switch to tankless?▾
Maybe. Tankless gives you endless hot water and a lower energy bill, but it needs adequate gas supply and proper venting, and it costs more up front. We'll tell you honestly whether your gas line and venting can support one before you spend a dime — and if a tank is the smarter buy for your home, we'll say so.
Can you replace it the same day?▾
Usually, yes. We carry the most common tank sizes and stock parts for Bradford White, Rheem, and A.O. Smith. If your unit failed this morning, there's a good chance you have hot water again by evening.
Do you haul the old one away?▾
Always. Removal and disposal of the old unit is included in the flat price — you won't have a leaking tank sitting in the garage waiting for bulk pickup.
